Clear Uniform Requirements Make Things Easier for Parents and Students
New Uniform Plans - Rollout 2027
1.1 Why is the College introducing a new uniform?
Our current uniform has served the College well since RJ opened in 1997. Since then, fashion trends and fabric technology have evolved significantly, creating opportunities to improve comfort, flexibility and performance. The new uniform has been designed to provide a contemporary look while maintaining a strong sense of College identity. It also supports the College's future direction as we approach our 30th anniversary and introduce a refreshed logo.
1.2 How was the new uniform developed?
Following College-wide surveys conducted in 2024, a Uniform Committee was established to review the feedback and guide the design process. The Committee met regularly and included representatives from the Executive team, College staff, parents and students. Their work focused on creating a uniform that reflects the College's values, incorporating new fabrics and styles, with the aim of making it a uniform that students would enjoy wearing.
1.3 When will the new uniform be introduced?
The new uniform will begin in 2027 and will be phased in to help families transition gradually, allowing existing families to spread purchases over the years. The following year groups and students must wear the new uniform.
2027
- All Kindergarten students
- All Year 7 students
- All Year 11 students
- All new students joining the College
2028
- Kindergarten and Year 1
- Years 7 and 8
- Years 11 and 12
2029
- All JS & SS students except for Year 10 (i.e. they were in Year 8 in 2027 and will require a new uniform in Year 11)
2030
- All students

How to source 2026 uniform items
2026 College uniform items are available through Lowes, either online or at their Mount Druitt store, until December 2026.
Pre-loved uniform items may also be sourced through the Pre-Loved RJ Uniform Facebook Page or from the Oakhurst Anglican Op Shop, 95 Hyatts Road, Oakhurst.
