No. Whilst RJ has a strong Christian culture and identity, we welcome families from other faiths and those from non-religious backgrounds.
All families are expected to support and respect RJ's Christian ethos, values, and relevant policies and procedures.
What if my child requires learning support?
RJ has an extensive Learning Support Team that works closely with teachers and families to support students' individual learning needs. Depending on the student's needs, support may include additional teacher aide assistance, adjustments to classroom learning, or tailored learning programs.

RJ provides stationery for students from Kindergarten to Year 2. Students in other year groups are required to purchase their own stationery, with a stationery list provided at the beginning of each year.
Textbooks are covered by the Service Charge. In Junior School, textbooks are provided to students. In Senior School, textbooks are issued on loan and must be returned at the end of the year.

What is the Richard Johnson Anglican College (Edumate) App?
The RJ App is the College's main communication tool and reflects the online Edumate Parent Portal. Parents are required to download the App from the relevant app store and ensure notifications are enabled. The same login details used for Edumate apply to the RJ App.
It can be used to confirm absences, provide permission for events, and receive College 'broadcasts'. it also provides access to calendars, events, reports, and so on. New families will receive their login details 14 days before their child's first day.
What is the Edumate Parent Portal?
This Portal allows parents to update their details, check and pay their College fee account (including setting up a formal direct debit). Parents can also confirm absences and review any Tokens, Detentions, assignment and test results, Senior School assessments, etc. Usernames are the parent's personal email as recorded on Edumate. A temporary password is emailed to the relevant parents when a family is first enrolled (14 days prior). Passwords can be reset by clicking on the "Can't Login" button on the Edumate portal which will cause a temporary password to be reissued via the personal email address listed on the system. Authentication via your mobile phone number ensures security. Please ensure your email and mobile details are always correct. Unfortunately, this Portal is not well optimised for phones and tablets.
RJ strongly emphasises the importance of keeping contact details up to date. There have been times where a student has become unwell or injured and our College has not been able to contact parents as the number/s listed have been disconnected or unanswered.
Does the College hold Student Accident Insurance?
Yes. Enrolled students are covered by complimentary 24/7 Platinum Student Accident Insurance, which provides financial benefits to students and their families in the event of accidental injury. Medical expenses not covered by Medicare may typically be eligible for benefits under the policy.
RJ also provides Ambulance Insurance for enrolled students who are injured while participating in a College activity in NSW.
